SundCERT – the Danish Health CERT

SundCERT consists of several units that support the implementation of the Danish health sector’s cyber and information security strategy.

This includes responsibility for collecting information and coordinating cyber and information security efforts across the health sector. This involves project management of analysis capabilities, coordination of warnings, and the development of guidelines and contingency plans. SundCERT helps strengthen the resilience of the healthcare sector through cooperation and regular, effective knowledge sharing across the sector.

A Decentralised Cyber and Information Security Unit was established in 2018 as a result of the national cyber and information security strategy. Its work continues under the new organisation as SundCERT.

The latest strategy for cyber and information security in the Danish health sector builds on the strategic initiatives from 2023, with their implementation extended and expanded through 2027.
